Be absolutely sure a PUPPY is what you want, because a PUPPY is what you'll get. I have one that's 11 weeks old and he's a pistol! Always getting into everything, peeing everywhere.. then when I'm at my wits end, he does something that is so incredibly CUTE I can't stand it!
yeah, go with Petfinder.com. this service lists pets that are available through shelters. they can be puppies or grown dogs. by adopting a pet from a shelter you are saving it from death and getting a great pet in return.
Just do some "home-work" on them first.There are enough former "cute"dogs in the pounds right now.They don't need anymore.As always,spay/neuter your little one.Good luck,and by the way,they are very protective of their humans.So be good at training it.

I was seriously considering a yorkie until I saw their price tag. they can be $500-$2000. If you go to petfinder.com this site is rescued pups. the fee for adoption is around is around $300-$500, but their shots are all up to date and they have been spayed or nuetered. One thing I know for sure you won't find one cheap or free if it is a registered pure bred. good luck on your quest.
