What wild animals are not found in Ireland that are found in Great Britain?

I seem to remember reading or hearing that Ireland and Northern Ireland have only a fraction of the wild animals found in Great Britain. Is this true, and if so, what are the species that are found in Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) that are not found in Ireland and Northern Ireland? I know there are no known snakes in Ireland. To clarify, when I say "animal", I mean mammals, reptiles, amphibians, fish, molluscs, insects and arachnids.

3. Snakes, I believe. But are they considered animal or reptile?

5. I've heard that there are no snakes in Ireland, but I'm pretty sure there are in England, Scotland and Wales.
