Is it possible for cats to see spirits/ghosts?

On most occasions I’ll either be playing with my cat or she’s just sitting with me....all fine and happy but then she’ll pause and just stare with a look of terror.... she can be scared of most people (traumatic past another story) but their won’t be anyone around at all and she’ll lean as if she’s about to run......and on other occasions she’ll watch the wall then make a playful noise or meow..... An insight of understanding would be great... I have taken her to the vet and her sight/hearing is perfect so I really don’t know!!

1. Animals do that all the time, probably heard a noise that you can't hear, since cats hearing is much better than humans. You're over thinking it way too much, there is no proof that anything like spirits or ghosts exist anyway.
2. I am not soooo 100% sure but I think she might be day dreaming I don't think that animals can see ghosts or spirits. I also think that maybe she had a friend or a realitive that died and maybe she thinks of them. I hope this helps :) Good Luck!

Im sure its perfectly normal, some people believe that animals see spirits which people dont, however I think its a cat thing personally, our male will generally go off and stare for a while at a wall, sometimes he bats it with his paw, he also hunts inaminate objects such as pens...in fact he just started staring at the wall now. Things like reflections as well maybe a possibility, even the tiniest reflection from he tv can have ours going wild. so to answer your question, possibly, but probably not!
4. It could be she is seeing something like that, but then again remember cats have super senses and can see and hear FAAAAAAR better than us, probably she is hearing a mouse or an insect running through the walls, so she aint actually looking she is listening but it just looks like she is looking because she is concentrating on the sound. or she is seeing dust cruise through the air and is playing with it. or mabey its something from outside like the smell of another cat.
5. it think cats have hearing far beyond ours, i also think cats have abilities that we will never either appreciate or fully understand, but spiritd/ghosts hey if they are a reality then maybe yes, but lets stay in the realm of reality, and just appreciate them for what they are. mobile little balls of fur totally filled with love,
6. Animals are VERY sensitive and can see everything some animals can see ghost's so it's very possible i have two dogs and a kitten and they haven't done anything like that.......
7. all four of my cats do it in my house, only in one room. there was a corridor that ran along the outer edge of this room (we have since taken the wall down) they would climb up the walls and just meow at ceiling or running up and down the corridor! all looking in the same place!! now they get very scared of the corner where they climbed and even hiss at it or run away!! ghosts? i like to think so! ;)
