What are the best Horse/Dog racing tracks in the Phoenix area?

I am going down to Phoenix in march for spring break to watch some spring training baseball games with a few friends. We want to go see a horse or dog racing track, and need some suggestions on which ones to go to. Please give a reason for why you think your suggestion is worthwhile, and if you could recommend anything else fun to do in phoenix I would appreciate all suggestions!

2. If you want live racing you only have one choice and that's Turf Paradise for the ponies. The dog track closed a few months ago and now only offers simulcast racing. If you don't mind wagering on TV races go to dog track where you can bet on the horses as well.
