where can i find shih tzu puppies in texas?

I live in south texas and i am looking into either rescuing or buying a shih tzu puppy, i don't want to spend $1000 dollars eithr but a good, healthy, well priced shih tzu puppy. can some one please help

Go to your animal shelter especially after a big puppy mill bust you'll find all ages of shih tzu. Unless your planning to show your pup you need not go for all the paperwork and crap just plan to have your pup altered when it's of age. Please don't give someone money for a pet that simply encourages byb and puppy mills. It's like buying a race horse Vs a grade horse unless your going to race it why shell out hundreds of thousands for a horse your going to ride through the fields and up and down the road. Get my point. Save your cash these dogs need lots of grooming, they have esophagus problems, sinus problems, and if it has the buggy eyes more problems. So your going to need cash on hand for vet bills. If You get one from the shelter it will be vet checked, wormed, shots, and if old enough neutered. Hope this helped. Good Luck
You should either check out shelters or you can check out breed rescue. Breed rescue may get puppies in from puppy mill raids.
try putting a ad in your local paper that's where the good breeders are that don' breed by kennel club breed standards..i find all my purebreds in my local paper...
