What is the average life expectancy of Boxer dogs?
My first Boxer lived to be seven. She died of bladder cancer. My current Boxer is eight years old, and I just had several growths removed from her. I didn't mess with a biopsy due to her age.

- I believe 8 to 10 years
- my parents had one that lived 13 years so depends on food and health
- 10-12
- a little over ten years...
- 8 to 10, though our boxer lived till she was nearly 13.
- The average life expectancy of a Boxer is 10.4. The overall average for dogs in North America is 12.8. The bigger the dog the shorter the life. My Shih Tzu life expectancy is 13.4. This is based on GOOD dog owners. Who vaccinate there dogs, proper vet care, general proper care, and good quality dog food (such as EVO, Wellness, or California Natural). ETA: Smaller dogs often live over 15 - 16 years, medium and large size dogs typically 10 to 13 years, and some giant dog breeds such as mastiffs, often only 7 to 8 years. Good luck! Merry Chrismtas.
- It actually depends on whom you get the boxer from Generally boxers live to be between 8-10 years However if the pup/dog was received from a reputable responsible breeder who does the required health testing on both the dam and sire, and only breeds those who have cleared all the tests the life expectancy can be 10-14 years
