  1. Yes wild animals should remain in the wild. The problem is the humans who try to domesticate them.
  2. Depends on what you consider a 'wild animal'. Someone was raving on here about owning skunks the other day, but if you buy one from a person that has raised them through 20 generations, then the are no longer wild, but are considered domestic. It would only be wild if you went out into the woods and raided a skunks den, then raised the baby. In that case, I say leave them alone. In the first case, I say why not? I'm sure someone at some time argued against domesticating the dog, cat, horse, cow etc, but where would we be without them? I guess the process has to start somewhere by someone. My answer is based on my definition of 'wild' which is taking it from the wild to raise. By that definition, then I think the average person should leave them alone. Also I think that endangered animals should be left alone by everyone, other than for life saving measures.
  3. Wrong is a word deffined differently to all individuals. Wild is a similar word. Some people might think no single animal should ever be forced away from nature. Others think it's okay to keep those from pet stores since they're already in captivity. Others think that as long as you take care of it it's okay. While others think you should never keep any animal if it will be in a cage. Who is to say what is wild? A dog can be wild, yet they have been 'owned' by humans for millions of years. Same with horses. A cat can also be wild. What about larger birds. They are intelligent and involved enough to think they are their owner's spouse, yet only a handful of people have the spce, let alone time, to house them. This is a totally open-ended question. In my opinion, animals in today's world are things that can belong to someone with the right amount of money. I strongly disagree with wild-caught pets, essentially herptiles and birds. But very little animals are wild cought because of greater awareness. So now there are tons of specialized breeders, even for dangerous animals like big cats and primates. I think as long as the animal isn't forced to live in obviously uncomfortable conditions, like cold, darkness, filth, and the owner is keeping up with their needs, both physical and mental, then they are fine in captivity. No animal thinks "Oh, how sad I am that I have to live in this cage rather than run around with my family in the wild..." They aren't quite that comprehensive. An animal focuses on the current events (of course I cannot confirm this). Like, if a hamster is suddenly grabbed and swooned around, it will grow terrified of getting eaten and will try to escape or attack. It will not compare captivity with wild, it doesn't know the difference. SO, animals cannot tell the difference. And as long as they are even decently cared for and aren't suffering, they are fine. Surely, you cannot compare a wild fox to one ata zoo. The wild one will be working hard to feed itself, reproduce and raise young, and avoid predators, while a captive one will be used to humans and have much less fears, thus bringing out boredom, which some zoos and private owners compel to successfully.
  4. what kind of wild animal
  5. it actually really (times a million) depends on wat type of animal it is. since i love all animals, i do think it is wrong to keep them as house pets because they are wild and they r definitley not used to being around humans and possibly their habitat would change so they may die.
