Why do allot of people on yahoo answers hate mix or cross breed dogs?

I mean almost everyone on this site hates them...

1. No one I have ever seen on here hates mutts...They hate people who breed mutts on purpose..Big difference.
2. We love mixed breeds and mutts. We hate when people profit off of 'breeding' these so-called 'designer' dogs that are really just mutts. There's thousands of animals in the shelters that are 'crossbreeds' and are dying everyday but some people yet again found a way to profit off irresponsible breeding.
3. NO we hate their greedy ignorant breeders, there is a difference. We also hate the ignorant people who buy them from breeders or pet stores, when the same mix is withering away in a shelter. Good gawd does no one know how to use the search bar. You do realize this has been asked in many different forms about a million times in the past 3 years. The answer is always the same, why not search and you will have you're answer. People really need to learn how to read the whole answer and not nit pick. Its really annoying to have to give this same rebuttal so many times every single day. Lets all say it together now. WE DO NOT HATE MUTTS.
4. most people don't hate mutts. they hate that people won't fix their dog and let them breed more mutts. the shelters are too full already. you will find that most people on here will say to go to a shelter to get a mutt.
5. This topic has been done to death already.... Once more, we don't hate mutts. We hate the people who breed them on purpose and them slap stupid names on them. Sometimes not even slapping dumb names on them, just breeding mutts.
6. This question is asked daily, if not more. Almost no one on this site hates mutts. What we don't like is purposely breeding mixes and charging a fortune for them when the same mix is in a shelter. We also don't like the lies these "breeders" tell. Personally I find those silly names childish. What is wrong with a Lab/poodle mix. Why use the silly term Labradoodle. I love all dogs, regardless of breed or mix thereof.

This question is asked over and over, day after day, and the same answer is always given: people here only hate the idiots who irresponsibly BREED mutts, and the people who support these breeders. They do NOT hate the dogs themselves. Many of the people who speak out most strongly against these unscrupulous breeders even own mutts, or have owned mutts, themselves. If they hated mutts, why would they own them?

9. We don't like the people who intentional make more mutts then charge people a horrendous price for them. I think a lot of mixed dogs are really cute but that doesn't mean they are worth 500 bucks a pop
10. How about you post some proof to back what you're saying? I've never seen a SINGLE person say they hate mutts, yet this question gets asked so many times it makes you wonder at the complete lack of comprehension skills of anyone who draws that conclusion.

12. Nope. I got a " mutt" from the pound and she's one of the best dogs I've ever had, She is spayed, so no babies for my girl. I also have a very well bred AKC dog. She is also spayed. Cross bred dogs are great and there are plenty in the shelters to adopt and my shelter requires spaying and neutering. No need to pay big bucks for a great companion.
13. Intelligent people hate the behavior, not the dogs. Articulate people on this site (in short supply it sometimes seems) will tell you the many reasons why people who breed mutts are irresponsible.
14. I can't say I've encountered anyone here that hates mixes. I can say that there are plenty of people who despise the idiots that intentionally breed them for a profit.
15. no we do not hate the dogs. we hate the breeders who make the dogs either on purpose(designer dogs) or by being irresponsible pet owners who do not have them neutered and spayed and let them roam and breed at random, that is what we hate. we currently have 4 wonderful mutts who we rescued after their irresponsible owners let their dogs get pregnant and then took the pups out in the country and dumped them.

I love Jake Gyllenhaal as much as the next girl, but this picture makes me want to smack him. A puggle, Jake? Really? I thought better of you. If you are planning on investing in one of these breeds (the goldendoodle, the cockapoo, really any of the -doodles or the -poos), I guess that's your prerogative, but please just hear me out first. What is This New Fad? If, somehow, you have missed it, there's a new trend in celebrity dog ownership: strang, unnatural crosses of unhealthy dogs that people pay thousands of dollars to own. They call them "designer dogs." Look at these Amazon links to the left! There are books now about these popular dog "breeds," describing their temperaments and how to raise them. Again with the wanting to smack people. These animals are not a new breed; they are mutts! Accidents! Now, I'm all for the owning of mutts. I, myself, have never had anything else. But to breed (that is, intentionally) is to choose two champion animals with a high quality of various traits and to test the parents for congenital diseases. Puggle, labradoodle, pekepoo, or any other cutesie-named dog breeders are not doing this. They are picking cute animals and forcing them to breed beyond their capacity. They are not breeding to "improve the breed." They are breeding solely to make money, and that poses problems for the animals and for their owners. So Why Not Get One? well, sure, they're cute! They're dogs, and these specific ones are designed to be cute! But they're also a fad, and if you've ever given in to one, you know that they don't last. When you get a dog, you are committing to him for life, not for however long you happen to want him around. And even if you want to carry your dog around like our friend Jake does, the dog is not a child either. In fact, I recommend the hub entitled Is a Dog Human? for more on that. The answer is, basically, no, and if you expect this designer breed to act as a human in your family, you will only disappointed. These dogs are not special or exempt from that rule because they are "designer." What is to be Done? Still think you need one of these "designer hybrids"? Think you can't even deal with adopting a brand new, accidental "hybrid" from the pound? Basically, all that can be done to overcome this destructive fad is to keep a level head. If you want a pug/beagle mix, I almost guarantee there is one at your local shelter. But if you buy a "puggle," you are encouraging PUPPY MILL AND BACKYARD BREEDER to breed more trendy dogs who will not necessarily be healthy. Pet overpopulation is enough of a problem in this country. Please don't add to the problem. 17. For the 7,954th time: WE DO NOT HATE MUTTS. I love dogs. All dogs. I happen to have purebreds because I enjoy showing and like thee predictability of a purebred dog. I will likely hav a mutt in the future. I like them, I think they are cute. What I will NOT have is a designer dog bred by a BYB with a stupid, cutesy name like Puggle, Morkie, Labradoodle, POMCHI, or Chug. Love the dogs. Hate the ignorant greeders.
18. For the 73726452947th time we DO NOT hate mutts. I love them as much as the next person. What I do hate is pathetic BYB's and puppmills intentionally breeding mutts, giving them some stupid name and then advertising them as a breed. Now that really grinds my gears!
