Cross Breeds

Why do girls wear those skin-tight translucent breeches when riding horses.?

Not that I am complaing. I actually love to see that. It seems that that girls that normally ride have a bigger bum, which is the best.

  1. Well it is known that all riders (maybe just myself) have amazing butts .....thats cause riding a horse requires a lot of muscle especially in the rear, but the reason why people including the guys wear the tight pants is so that the clothing stays out of the way while jumping or riding...it also looks better......its hard to ride in jeans or loose pants
  2. Uh... not all of them are skin-tight translucent. I only have one pair of breeches that even qualifies as skin tight, and they aren't translucent.... But breeches are stretch material and are much more comfortable in the saddle (in my opinion) and allow more freedom of movement without restricting your control of your seat, legs, etc.
  3. Not all of them do. Western riders wear jeans, and many English riders wear jeans when schooling too. In fact, I wear jeans while riding both mostly, unless it's warm, then I will wear my tights to lessons if they're clean. It's basically just tradition to wear breeches. Breeches are meant to let your judge or instructor see your position, to not scratch the saddle, and to look nice and tidy. Just like wearing jeans in Western comes from cowboys inventing jeans for riding on the trail.
  4. Actually, most girls don't. I hate those type of breeches, they're restricting and not to mention the fact that they show up filthy as soon as you do something like poo picking. A decent pair of proper breeches are good, they hape stop the saddle rubbing and are fairly comfy - but those horrid ones you see some girls wearing just don't cut it.
  5. i wear those because so you don't go like sliding every where and if they were loose than it would be harder to ride. Unless your a good rider like me
  6. This is creepy. Breeches are the traditional pants for equestrian sports. Men wear them as well. They allow a rider to move easier and have material that keeps a rider in the saddle. Riders have bigger butts and legs because of the muscle that is developed from riding. Some riders wear jeans, but they scratch up your saddle and don't always provide the most stretch that is needed to ride correctly.
  7. Isn't this the same creeper that was asking a question about riders bodies earlier? Someone must be going through puberty. Has anyone ever seen a rider with translucent breeches? I sure as heck haven't. This tops all of the ridiculous questions I have heard as a rider.
  8. HAHA Funny Question :D
  9. The real question is, why don't more men wear those tight breeches? I mean, come on guys. Return the favor sometime, huh?
  10. that's an English riding thing. us western riders don't wear that stuff. we wear jeans.
  11. Not all girls do. A lot of HUS and Western people wear jeans when schooling.
  12. To feed your fantasies, it's all just for you--didn't your mom tell you? :-P
  13. Coz they're slags or show off'sxxx
  14. first of all, i kind of find this a little violating, me being a girl. and i do not have a "bigger bum." for english riding, they are required for shows, and a lot of english riders just wear them for everyday riding too. they're specifically built for riding, so they have the most comfortable fit for sitting in the saddle and are designed to allow the movement required for things like jumping, dressage, etc. they actually shouldn't be translucent, if they are then that girl needs a new pair... for shows they're generally a tan color or white, but can be other colors like olive or gray. everyday riding breeches can be tons of different colors. by the way, guys wear them too ;) http://www.flickr.com/photos/butterfliesandhurricanes/2498603039/
