I usually watch horse racing a lot. but I never won a single game.. what is the source that I should do to get familiar about it? and so I can win atleast exacta or trifacta in the races?

  1. Odds on horses isn't the most important thing.. always remember "horses dont know what there odds are" look at their past performances and see there quarters and who comes home the fastest and who likes to leave off the gate.. its more luck then anything!
  2. Firstly.... give up the idea of exacta's and trifectas that is the road to ruin...its hard enough to pick the winner of a race let alone who is going to come 2nd or 3rd. Watch lots of races and see what ground horses prefer to win on, study the tracks, whether they are galloping tracks or tricky turning tracks and see what horses win on these. Read up on trainers try to work out how they place particular horses into certain races (remember they are working hard to find a race for their owners horse to win and possibly have a gamble on at a big price). Try to go to the races several times and make a point of looking at the horses in the paddock and going down, its a mugs game to pick horses (unseen) from newspapers. Horses are such quirky (and adorable) creatures and half the horses in the paddock can be ruled out by either sweating, grinding teeth and throwing head around, in general being unsettled and in the case of 2yo's neighing and coltish behaviour in the paddock is a really bad sign that the horse is still green (immature) and may just be at the races on that particular day to gain experience. Visit sites such as http://attheraces.com or http://racingpost.co.uk where you can read blogs and stable tours and watch re runs of past races. This is the only way that you will be able to assess a race, and of course you are always learning, picking winners is not cut and dried, but once you get into the history or racing and the pedigrees of these fantastic animals it will give you a better chance of beating the bookie....enjoy your racing...Jac x
  3. I don't know what country you're from. What I recomend you do is UNDERSTAND THE DYNAMICS OF HORSERACING. Learn about horses as you're watching them. Things to watch of for is their temperment (general character). Their favourite mode of running. Is speedy sprinter, a blazing front-runner or stayer? What's it usual position in a race Does it lead from the start, up with the leaders, likes to be in mid division or needs to be held up in the rear? Also learn about the class of the horse. The meaning (type) or conditions (entry criteria) and statuts (the calibre of horses that it's intended to attract) of the race. Next UNDERSTAND BETS AND THEIR DIFFERENT TYPES. Now the bets you doing athough you get more rewarding odds by doing exactas and trifectas. However, you have to pick the first two or three (in THAT ORDER) respectively. That is difficult, thus the bigger odds. Have you tried win and place (show if you're in the US) bets. This way you'll more likely to win. Good luck with you're punting.
