- Quit separating them! Good grief, that's normal puppy play. They're learning to socialize, learning bite inhibition, all kinds of things.
- break them up
- Normally its just regular puppy play that helps them learn and grow. If it gets out of hand spray them with a water spritzer or something that will teach them 'NO'. And aww the puppies sound soo cute :)
- You have a couple of high-drive puppies. I suspect his is how they play. I would not leave them out alone, but I wouldn't worry about it for a while. Nine months is when they hit puberty and things might start getting aggressive (I assume the German Shepherd is also male). Neutering them after nine months is probably a good idea. Never before then, though.
- well see when they r around each other and r not bad... or if they r fighting and you pull them away and they dont go back to fighting then you would give them a treat.so they relize good behaver gets them to get treats.but if you do pull them away make sore you dont give them a treat to soon...wait like 30seconds. before you give them a treat because then they will think there fighting gets them a treat. So then just pull them away and wait 30seconds. then if they dont fight again give them a treat.
- it sounds like the puppies are just being regular puppies. my labrador retriever had puppies about a year ago and even when they were really young (6 weeks) they had the same behavior. they would always bite each other and step on each other and fight and yip. but its just a phase they go through. you should allow them to be together and eventually the rough play will become less and less frequent but if you don't keep them together constantly they will soon bcome adult dogs and just not like each other or it could become something more serious between them.
- First they are puppies and they are playing. It might sound like a terrible noise and look horrible but in all truth.. this is just puppy play. If you feel they are going over the boundary, say No in a loud voice..not yelling but firmly. And tell them No bite. You can even encourage them to have quiet time, if it is getting out of hand, teach them to lay down.. and distract them with a toy in their individual kennels. This is not punishment.. just a way to get them to chill. Start taking them out for walks together. Even short 10 minute walks to start with. This will help them to bond, and build up a good relationship. Do get them neutered as soon as your vet says they can. I believe your dalmation is almost ready. He can be fixed at 6 months and so can your GSD. Get your dalmation booked in, and that will be 1 problem solved.. then you can start saving for the GSD to be done 2-3 months later.
- Just let them go. They won't do serious damage to each other! They are puppies and need to learn this stuff. When you have two dogs like this separating them only validates the other dog as something to attack because they can feel you are tense around them and maybe even fearful or at the very least want them apart which makes the dogs think they must protect you or themselves from this thing you are tense about and fearful of. So just relax and inly separate them if you really have to. And unless you don't have them desexed for a reason.. Getting it done for both dogs is a pretty good idea! It will stop the testosterone and the territorial behaviour.
