is it possible to cross breed a pacu and a piranha?

whats the percentage of them cross breeding? do they cross breed them in stores? can you cross breed a pacu and silver dollar? can you cross breed a silver dollar and a piranha?

1. Pacu, silver dollars, and piranhas are all characins. But they are different species, obviously. I've never heard of them crossbreeding, and I don't think it's possible mainly because of the personality of the fish in question. I could be persuaded to think certain piranha species could conceivably crossbreed with pacu, but I dunno. I don't think you'd ever really be able to get them to breed in the wild - much less a normal home aquarium. The only way I see getting a cross is to do it in a lab with sperm/egg fert.
2. Yes if you have a lab to do the gene splicing. No they can't cross breed. Same as chimps and gorillas.
