Why do most all women like small dogs?

My sister and my mom both like to have small dogs. And most all women I see carry around those small dogs in a purse. Why do they do that?

1. Not sure, I guess some women like to take their dogs places, or simply they don't want to deal with the maintenance of bigger dogs. I actually prefer big dogs because their a lot more fun to play with and you won't break them lmfao.
2. because women have smaller brains, and they like to carry everything they own in a handbag... Paris Hilton is a great example. Stupid, blonde, small stupid dog..huge handbag. "The greatest trick ever pulled by Satan...was creating woman".
3. I don't like dogs too much. But my daughters do. My 16 year old had a miniature chihuahua and she takes him every where with her. ANd she also has a dog purse for him. My oldest daughter is 6 months pregnant and has a miniature yorkie that she carries around like that. I think its the maternal instinct that many women have to want to carry and care for things like babies.

5. I hate small dogs. They're no fun and are useless. I had two dachshunds when I was little and I loved them, but I have two labs now who can protect me and get the newspaper in the morning, will obey me (small dogs usually don't), and do way more than my little dogs could ever do.

7. Well, I've had big dogs (German Shepherds) and have now "downgraded" to a Yorkie. And she's cute, affectionate and best of all, has tiny poops. I like cats - and my Yorkie is small enough to sit on my lap like a cat, but is a good guard dog. With the big dogs, you had to have a spade and a bucket to clean the garden but with the Yorkie - you need a tissue and a bag and down the loo. Smaller dogs are much easier. I wouldn't ever go back to a big dog. Although I draw the line at sticking her in a handbag. That is so affected.
8. I like all dogs, small or large. They're such great animals.
9. I'm a woman and my favourite dog is the Irish Wolfhound. Not a small dog. I like them because of their disposition. Generally, I don't like small dogs. When I want a pet that small, I'll get a cat. I favour medium size dogs.... The only place I see women carry dogs in purses is on TV. :-)

11. I think dachshunds are cute, but I don't like those small, yappy terriers or poodle types. I don't really like dogs all that much, and I know I couldn't care for one properly. Small dogs are probably easier to manage though, and don't make as much mess. I think it's only celebrities who carry dogs in their bags!
12. My dog is not small. He weighs 75 pounds and almost laid me flat out on the black top trying to get to a man walking 5 wiener dogs, "I kid you not." The dogs started barking at him. I lost hold of him trying to keep from hitting the ground. He did not want to hurt them because he is very loving. More so than a Little foo foo dog or in this case 5 wiener dogs.
13. I love my pitt bulls and rottweilers.
14. I am a women, and I hate small dogs! If I had to get a dog it would be a large dog, like a pit bull or a german shepard. but.... I am mainly a cat person.....dogs come off as kind of stupid.
15. My favorite dogs are Rottweilers and Pitt Bulls. They are just so much more fun to play with. I can wrestle with them and not worry about hurting them.
