  1. Maltese dogs don't get very big at all. They are a toy breed so you can rely on them staying nice and small :) but as for how much they cost, you should adopt from a shelter... i live in NY state and most shelters offer dogs for $85 which includes up to date shots and them being fixed.
  2. usually around 400-800...from a pet shop...maybe 100-200 from a family....they are a very small dog...so they dont get big maybe 6-12 lbs
  3. Prices vary depending on the breeder. An average Maltese should be around 6-8 lbs. but I have seen them be anywhere from 10-12 lbs. Please check local rescues and shelters before choosing to go to a breeder, there are a lot of full blooded, well bred Maltese looking for good homes.
  4. Maltese puppy prices can be as much as $100 or all the way up too $1350. And they dont grow very big as i have one fully grown Male, One 9 month old female and 4 female 2 week old pups. And they are really quite small... Hope i helped.
  5. maltese start at about $700 each. Show standard is 7 lbs. or less. Most malts end up being between 8 to 11 lbs though. You can check the national rescue org. for more details... http://www.malteserescue.homestead.com/
  6. Please don't go to a breeder and spend hundereds of dollars on a dog. There are plenty of purebreed Maltese at animals shelters who are waiting to be adopted, loved, and given a forever home. Some shelters adopt out for free and others charge (less than $200 depending on what all has been done such as shots, microchipping, deworming, altering, etc...) http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/maltese.htm Here's a website showing different animal shelters in California: http://www.petfinder.com/awo/index.cgi?action=state&state=CA&city=&keyword=
