- Why do you have two dogs if they're nothing more than furry lawn ornaments who aren't allowed inside? How about finding a home for them where they can be part of a family, instead of being stuck out in the yard? And they're both shorthaired breeds who should not be kept outside in the snow.
- I have a JRT and he is very cold natured. He lives in my house and even then he has a drawer full of clothes for the winter, T shirts, sweat shirts, PJ"s. He shivers in my house and sleeps under the covers when it's cold and I live in AL so it's hardly ever that cold :o) If they can't come inside please re-home them and get a Husky.
- As long as they are getting the love and care needed to be happy and healthy theres no reason dogs can't be out side. However your dogs don't sound like cold weather dogs, I wouldn't let them out in that weather.
- Bring the dogs inside. Its not fair for them to be cold outside while you are inside warm, even if their dog house is insulated.
- Well may b since u said u hav a rlly good insulated dog house for them....I dont think those breed of dog should be out in the snow....And they'll be in their dog house the whole time...well anyways good luck with your dogs and new home in hesperia....:]
- Your dogs are not meant to be in the snow. They are a short haired breed which makes the vulnerable in the cold weather, even with an insulated doghouse.
- I live in an area where winter's are brutal most of the time. Dogs like the Bloodhound are not fair weather animals. There a tuft breed of dog that is used by many hunter's in cold conditions. I'd say yes that you could keep the dog outside providing he has a nice insulated dog house with bedding. You have to use good judgment of course and not put the door way to his dog house facing the North. The Jack Russel is an inside dog for sure.
- Why don't you sleep outside in the cold and snow for one night and see how you like it..You can have a jacket & blanket which is probably the equivalent to your "super insulated dog house". Guarantee you'd freeze your butt off anyways and wanna go inside. So why would you think its okay to keep your dogs out there?
