Why do some people feel so self righteous & controlling about the sex lives of dogs & cats?

We have too many people on the earth. Who are people to castrate animals? Why not let cats and dogs breed rampantly? If they die, so what. I don't see cats and dogs clogging the highways or movie theatres.

1. You don't really want an unchecked population of dogs and cats roaming the streets. They would spread disease, and kill off domesticated animals. One has to look at the overall picture.
2. My dog still can have sex all she wants. She has plenty of sex with her pillow already. I'm just not rasing no babbies!
3. You don't see it because most people are responsible here. I've been to countries where they have wild cats and dogs and it's not pretty. The cats are often very sick and living on garbage. The dogs starve to death and are always fighting, sometimes killing domestic dogs and running around in packs and howling at night. In a lot of countries the way they deal with stray dogs is they eat them. Beyond the population issue, male cats who are not fixed spray and cat urine is not the best smell in your house. Most cats live longer if they are fixed.
4. I really beleive in Neuter and Spaying, even animals.
