  1. Usually means that somewhere there is Chow in the blood.
  2. i used to work at the spca and we had a lot of chow mixes who had spotted tongues.
  3. Do you mean black/blue spots on your dog's tongue? It can be any dog... Usually Chow-chows and Shar Pei's tongues are blue, but if you dog only has spots it doesnt necessarily mean that he's part of those breeds. My pup has them too. He's a GSD/Something? mix
  4. My aunts old dog was a golden retriever and she had a spot on her tongue
  5. Chow and Char pei. It could be a mix of one of these.
  6. Chows have them a lot of the time. Post a link to the picture.
  7. most likely she has a Dalmatian in her... Dalmatians have spots all over and they even have them in their mouth, teeth and tongue... most of the time their spots are black but once in while their spots could be brown...
  8. ANY breed!!!!!!!! ANY MONGREL!!!!!!!!!! It means absolutely * NOTHING*!!! & all those boobs who spew CHOW are imbeciles or deliberate LIARS
  9. i agree. Plenty of german shepherd have spots on their tongues. They used to say that black spots in german shepherds show they are pure bred, but there are plenty of purebred gsd's without spots. Some people feel that black tongues means that gsd's carry the gene for black dogs. All of those conclusions are not at all grounded in any scientific theory. Petco has the DNA test for $45 if you really want to know the lineage of your dog.
  10. chow chow french bull dog pekingese dalmatian canadian eskimo dog chinese shar pei tosa inu
