- very easy n free!
- I think about $20USD but I heard they are really hard to take care of/keep alive.
- I guess it's easy to take care of them because all they do is swim around, apparently doing nothing. But I guess in pet shops they cost around....probably 80 dollars so......
- They cost about 100 to 200 dollars and are easy to take care of , But the tanks needs to be clean at least once a week and it needs to be heavily filters and planted
- the cost would depend on the species. from $20.00 or so for the hipocampus zostare (dwarf sea horses) to $500.00 and more for some of the rare colors of the giant breeds. The maintenance of the tank is just as easy as any marine aquarium the issue is the feeding of them. They can not live and flourish on brine shrimp alone but need copeds and other little critters. No in general they will not eat pellets or flake food. do some research before you buy them. Below I listed a bunch of sites check them out
- i breed seahorses as a hobby. please listen to me. if you are new to fish do not get horses, you will kill them. They are as delicate as they are cute. they are difficult! the salt levels, nitrate, nitrite, ammonia levels are difficult to do. Also those horses you see in the pet store for 20$ are H. Kellogi, they are a deep water horse and do not have a great history of doin terrible in tanks. If you want to do horses, first learn how to keep salt water tanks. Join a local online club and they will help. but believe me, horses are NOT the easiest to keep. They are cute and NOT easy. i dont care what people say. i have kept them and they are not for begginers. if you would like to know more go to seahorse.org. THE BEST place to learn about keeping seahorses.
