Purchasing two yorkie male puppies, do you think this is a good idea?
We both work and I thought that if we bought two, than while we are at work, they wouldn't be bored or lonely. Any thoughts, tips, or ideas are greatly appreciated! thanks!

- If you have the time and money to care for them both properly, I don't see why not =) Most dogs love having a sibling to play with.
- sure good thnking
- I have always thought it was good for my dogs to have a buddy to hang out with while I am at work. Usually, though, a male and female get along better. Also, I think two puppies would really be a handful. You might want to adopt an adult dog from a rescue, and then get a puppy if thats what you really want.
- I think it's a great idea. I got a brother and a sister when they were 12 weeks old. This was the first time we'd ever got 2 at a time. It was great when we brought them home. No crying or carrying on at bedtime. We turned the lights out, and the two of them went into the kennel and slept until the next morning. Our little female is extremely smart. She caught onto the house training right away. She really helped with her brother, who is abit of a dufous, and not quite as bright. Just remember that you're going to pay double everything. Grooming can be expensive. I keep mine in a puppy cut or a schnauzer cut. Getting them haircuts every 3-4 months can get expensive $70.00. In between their faces and bums need to be trimmed, along with getting their nails cut. Vet bills are double. Small dogs can be prone to bad teeth, so a vet dental needs to be done every year. If they need dental work it can get very expensive. That's really the only down side to having two. It is definitely harder trying to train two at a time. Trying to teach mine just to sit was an effort. I finally had to separate them, so they'd listen to me, and not want to fart around with each other. You'll find they'll be the best of friends. Mine cuddle together on the couch, and play when they're bored. I love having two. When we're out, and we come home, they're always side by side on the back of the couch waiting for us. A few things to know before you get them. Buy harness's for them. Do NOT go for a collar. Buy a kennel big enough for the two of them. When you have them in the car, keep them in the kennel, and buckle them in. They can also sleep in the kennel at home. Have fun with them. They're really entertaining Tess
