Miniature Horses?

Are miniature horses easier to care for then full sized horses?

  1. I don't think so. They come with their own set of responsibilities and issues just as much as their full size counterparts.
  2. Depends if you want to show them or not. Generally yes, they are. They need less room, less feed and dont require shoes. Vet bills can still get high if they get sick but as a whole they are cheaper. But they still require responsibility and care. so really, it just depends on what you want to do with them.
  3. If you have them for show and competition / breeding purposes they definatley come with their own special needs and care requirements. If they're just a pet and for fun, they can definatley be lower maintenance - although still require daily attention and addequate care just like a full size horse - farrier, food, water, grooming, vet etc etc. Dont let their size fool you, some of them are more of a handful then the big guys (hahaha) : 0)
  4. i have one and she is the easiest thing that i ever had
  5. Depends, they may not have to be fed or picked of after as much, but, they still need excircise like any other horse. If you want a horse, and dont want as much responability, ten your probley not ready for a horse. If you can care for a sire properly, then I think your ready for any other breed. 6. well you have to feed them, groom them, clean them, clean up after them, pay for vet and fairier bills, and take care of them, and there are a lot more repsonsibilties if you decide to show them.
  7. Probably not. They are as hard to care for as regular sized horses. Apart from you can't ride them.
  8. Yes, absolutely!!! My mini will stand for anything but my quarter horse will spook at a knew curry comb. They don't need as much food so it's cheaper and it takes less time to groom them because they're so small!
