Which famous horse race....!?
What horse race is the most analogous to the Revolutionary War? (Underdog beating Royalty, 1v1) There were only those two horses in the race. Which one was it?

- The horse is Seabiscuit, Seabiscuit (the underdog) beat War Admiral who was bred from the great Man o War and named after the leader of the Union Navy, Admiral Farragut.
- Wrong war, Hoss. Admiral Farragut was the Union navy commander in the CIVIL WAR, NOT the Revolutionary War. Seabiscuit was named for his sire, Hard Tack. Hard Tack is the salty biscuit which sailors at sea for long periods eat- and because this was true, the colt was called Seabiscuit when he was born. As for War Admiral, HE was named for HIS sire too, who was the great Man O'War. A man o' war is a specific type of warship- and when the horse was born, America was embroiled in the first World War. The match race between these two horses may be what the asker is talking about, but there are and were other match races, whether intentional or not, which are worthy of mention, such as the Sanford stakes in 1919, in which Man O'War was defeated by Upset. That was not a planned match, but that's what it turned into.
