Do wild horses run all the time?
In the movies, such as where wild horses are running along a beach, or cows running along in a prairie, why are they always running? And if the running is "well, they are running, so I better run too" thoughts in the horses and cows, what tells them to STOP finally! Lead horse, lead cow, something else?

- They run because they're being chased by a camera crew. Wild animals run because either they're hunting something, or are afraid of being hunted. Since horses and cows don't eat meat, they run because they're afraid of predators. Humans are scary, and to wild creatures, fit the predator category. They stop running when they believe they are out of danger. Yes, often there is a lead animal, and when that one stops, the others tend to stop too.
- yes
- because there are humans chasing them usually they're grazing, and if not they usually walk
