What do you think of this horse Pics Included : )?
-Name: Lucky Star -6 year old -Thoroughbred -Retired Race Horse -Won over $35,000 before he was retired...after the horses are retired they are put down after a few months and so I went and picked him up : ) he was free! -He rides great and adapted great to the western saddle and I am starting him on barrels...he is EXTREMELY fast! -I plan to start him back in and english saddle for show jumping soon too!! -I've had him for a month or so and he wasn't ridin for close to 2 years:( they had a soft spot for him so they kept him for more than the normal 3 months :) -Let me know what you think of his confirmation please : ) (he is resting on one back leg in this one so it sets him off a little) http://i631.photobucket.com/albums/uu36/oscar22406/IMG_2723.jpg http://i631.photobucket.com/albums/uu36/oscar22406/05240910571.jpg http://i631.photobucket.com/albums/uu36/oscar22406/IMG_2728.jpg http://i631.photobucket.com/albums/uu36/oscar22406/ride.jpg http://i631.photobucket.com/albums/uu36/oscar22406/ride2.jpg http://i631.photobucket.com/albums/uu36/oscar22406/butt.jpg I put the last pic on there because a lot of ppl ask for hind quarter pictures for conformation that's not me riding him it's my neighbor she was going to lope on him for the first time and since he hasn't been ridin in 2 years she wasn't really worried about her riding structure...she was worried about staying on :P lol yea and i think the same thing about his age he's till young:) he still has a good possible 18 years left :) now that he's not being put down at least :) i LOVE him so much! the parades yesterday went great!! he didn't spoke once or anything and there was even a semi right in front of us during one of the parades that kept blaring on it's horn! Were so lucky to have each other :) oh and i measure him today and he's exactly 17 hands!

- didnt you just ask this?
- beautiful. really beautiful horse.
- his so cute. luv the last pic haha. he looks like a good horse n should do well...u should keep him
- that last pic wasnt necessary, but ya he lloks like he would be a great horse, just make sure to keep him o a good diet and excercise if you want him to stay in a good shape, after all, he is an old horse, 2 years past pro.
- he's really pretty :) he has really kind eyes, I like that in a horse.
- he looks really cute in the third pecture. umm i don't really like thoroughbreds that much. i prefer dressage horses like Hanovarians and Oldenburgs, even though Thoroughbreds could be dressage horses. he looks like a really good western horse though, so i'd go for it.
- He's got great conformation, he is so beautiful, it is so sad how so many ex-racehorses are just put down just 3 months after retiring. This is one lucky horse.
- your hourse is 2 cute! iv been tryin to got my parents to bye me one fur so long butt they said NO lol
- awwww adoreable
- Is that you riding him?
- Will what are you talking about he is not old, he is only six!!!!!! He is a BEAUTIFUL horse you are very lucky to have him, he would make a lovely show jumper since he is a thoroughbred. He has a good build and a nice face. Gooc luck for both of you!
- Uhh ''will'' don't no what planet you are on but he ain't old. He is still young.
- I can't see anything wrong with him conformation wise, but I'm not an expert or anything, though i do know enough to tell the good from the bad and he looks good. Also, when they ask for a hindquarters shot they want all the way to the ground. They're trying to see if his legs look straight. Nice horse.
- I am confused to why you can't keep him! What do you mean? Who had a soft spot for him? Anyway! Poor guy :( I hate horse racing it is evil and I am so happy you have got this little angel! He is SO cute! You can't really tell he is a Thoroughbred (don't worry that is a good thing)! He has good confirmation and I think he should do well in jumping! Blessings to you and your beautiful horse :)
- He looks really sweet. I think that he has a good conformation, I can't see any major negatives. He looks very compact, how many hands is he? He looks smaller, not a bad thing. He is so adorable. I love the little star on his head. My QH has one like that! I hope you have fun with him. I miss my OTTB so much (I had to put her to sleep when she was 8 because of an ovarian tumor) and I appreciate you so much for giving him a loving home. I wish more people would.
- Very handsome horse =]
- Ok first off... The last pic is not what people were asking for... You want to take a picture of the entire horse...His hips to his feet... It shows the lines and how they fall.. The way a horse's legs ties in tells allot... Anyways... I think he's fantastic... However your riding position in two of those photos are terrible! Put your heels down and your legs are a bit to far back
- He looks nice. No real conformational faults that I can see. He is probably the best looking off the track tb I've seen (other than my own of course :)
