Is it normal for Maltese puppies to chew on everything?
My Maltese puppy (8 weeks old) chews on rugs, furniture, toes, etc.. Is it puppy behavior or does it last as they get older too?

- It's normal for every puppy to chew on everything they can get their little mouths on. Try redirecting bad chewing with fun chewy toys and interaction.
- puppies.
- It's normal for a any puppy to chew on EVERYTHING!!!
- It's a puppy. Puppies will chew on everything. As they grow older they shouldn't chew on stuff. To do this just say no in a serious, loud tone when you don't want them to chew on something.
- OMG. same here i have a male maltese the is only 10 weeks old he do the same, so i guess is very normal, i buy him a lot of fun toys so he can chew on but he still love my furniture, shoes or anything he can find.. don't worry is not only you..
- It is normal for puppies to chew on ever thing they can get there little teeth in . Get your puppy some little chew toys and leave them laying around and that should help.
- It is completely normal because puppies just like to chew! My shih tzu did the same thing as a puppy, especially with feet and toes! Usually smaller dogs will stop chewing on everything faster, so it shouldn't last too long. Get her a good chew toy, preferably something stuffed. That is what distracted my puppy.
