Cross Breeds

Why are cross-bred dogs considered bad?

I find them more special inside and most of them are cuter

  1. nothing wrong with cross breeds (mutts) but i prefer pedegree kc reg dogs as you know the temprament of the dog.
  2. There's nothing wrong with crossbreeds or mutts. It's the people who intentionally breed them when millions of dogs are killed every year that are the problem. The idiots who charge thousands of dollars for a "designer dog" when you can get the same mix at the local pound for a couple of hundred dollars... AND save the dog from being killed, to boot. The stupid people who insist that the latest "Insert Portmanteau Name Here" is a "breed" and who will keep the puppy millers and backyard breeders in business buying the next "designer dog" make me sick. I could call my dog a "Labrakita" if I wanted to (at least I think that's what he is). It wouldn't change the fact that he is a mutt, that he is a wonderful dog... and that he would have been killed if I had taken him to the shelter when I found him as a stray,
  3. I don't consider them bad. You are right, there are alot of really really cute ones. What is considered bad is purposely breeding them, calling them a cutesy name and charging a fortune for them. Its even worse when people say they will be hypoallergenic (if they are a poo mix) when ther is no guarantee at all or give them attributes that they cannot possible know they will have. People think that when you mix two dogs, you get the best of each dog. That is not the case. It is a random mix, you could even end up with the worst of both breed, including health issues. There is no set look, size, temperment or anything.
  4. they're not bad at all. the only thing is, if you get a mix breed puppy, you'll have no idea what they'll look like or how big they'll be when they grow up. you also might not know who the parents are and if they had any medical issues. however, if you get a pure bred papered dog from a responsible breeder you'll know these things and get a quality puppy. but rescuing mix breeds is great. there are so many who need good homes! however, breeding mix breed dogs, counting those crazy new "designer dogs" (backyard breeder) is extremely irresponsible and just contributes to the overpopulation. the only reason someone should be breeding is if they own a pure bred papered dog.
  5. Ah...another ignorant kids spouting blather! BORING....done to DEATH.....annoying CHAT! Nobody gives a ratz fart if dopey kids wikes mutts. Keep a hundred...kiss dem on der bwack mongrel wips for all anybody cares. Do NOT tell me *I* have to. Do NOT regurgitate lies about them. Don't MAKE more unwanted junk & DON'T BUY them from crooks.! Got it? Thanks
  6. They are not "bad". No dogs are "bad". However, they are just high priced mutts. A "labradoodle" or "puggle" is not a breed of dog. It's a fancy mutt. There are millions of mutts at your local animal shelter. When it comes time to bring a dog into your family. Please consider adopting a dog from your local animal shelter or rescue group. You can get a great companion and save a live in the process.
  7. well cesar milan said because alot of ppl dnt know how to breed correctly and it could bring up health and temperment issues.
