how do you cross breed the flowers in animal crossing wide world?

i want to know how to catch a peacock, also is it an acutely a peacock or a butterfly peacock and i have been told that you have to cross breed a plant to find them. So how do i cross breed the plants?

1. it is a peacock butterfly! I'm not sure you need to have hybrid flowers to find one, but to cross-breed flowers simply make sure two of the same type of flower (2 different colours works best) are planted next to eachother and keep them watered regularly. soon a hybrid coloured one (black, purple, orange or pink) will pop up next to them. good luck!
2. Obviously it's a peacock butterfly. You can't catch birds. You buy flower seeds from Tom Nook's store. You plant them outside. Plant two red flowers right next to each other and there is a good chance that you will get a black or purple flower, which is needed to attract peacock butterflies.
