how do animals in tropical rainforest adapt themselves?

1. The question doesn't have any obvious meaning. How is an animal supposed to somehow "adapt itself"? May I recommend the editing facility?

3. In general, tropical animals are smaller than animals in higher latitudes because of regulating body heat (elephants are an exception but they have heat regulating strategies). Small size animals loose and gain heat rapidly, which is not a good adaptation near the poles.
