  3. personally i would let my pups in my own yard as soon as they are old enough to walk and see.as long as you can supervise. however do not walk them til their shots are up to date or let them i nthe front yard or dog parks (anywhere where other animals have been outside of your own pets) because they can contract horrible diseases like parvo or things from piss and poo. feed them every 2 to 4 hours if they are very young to keep up on their nutrients. or about 3 times or twice as they get older. grooming should be to wash them weekly or biweekly.do not shave. just blowout their coats when they are older. look up that term from a grooming site...basically to brush out or blow with air the old winter coat which contributes to much of their hair
  4. hi, The German Shepherd Dog is one of America's most popular breeds--for good reason. He's an intelligent and capable working dog. His devotion and courage are unmatched. And he's amazingly versatile, excelling at most anything he's trained to do: guide and assistance work for the handicapped, police and military service, herding, search and rescue, drug detection, competitive obedience and, last but not least, faithful companion. here's more info: http://dogtime.com/german-shepherd-dog.html hope this helps.
  5. I suggest you get them in to puppy obediance class, this will help with training and socialization. It is going to be a little harder to train your pups if they bond to each other so establishing that you are the alpha dog or pack leader is a must. As for feeding them I usually free feed my pups, but since you have two you will need to keep an eye on them if you do it because one might prevent the other from eating. Start to brush your pups right away, to get them used to the brush, also this is a good time for some quiete bonding with your pets. If you have a fenced in yard and your pups are the only animals allowed in it they can be allowed access as soon and as often as needed. Hope this helps a little, good luck with your pups.

  7. Check out http://leerburg.com/articles.htm there's info on potty training, obedience training, training puppies, establishing pack leadership, and much more. I've used this site to train my dogs and always reference it when I can't remember what to do when something comes up or happens and I need a refresher. The guy who runs the site has worked with GSD's for 30yrs+ and was a K9 handler for many years and knows his stuff.
