How can I find horses for lease in my area?
I tried websites like "Horsetopia" except I've used every one on the internet with no avail. I've found out some websites of local barns have a list of their horses for lease, but it is extremely difficult to look up all local barns, go through their websites, and try and see if they have horses for lease. So what is an easier way? Also, do you think some people with their horses for sale would be willing to arrange a lease? Thanks!

- You could try visiting your local saddlery/tack shop. Yes I think people with horses for sale would consider loaning. Good luck finding the right one!
- 1. Check the local tack stores. They'll have postings for horses for sale and lease. They will also have local magazines with listings. 2. Scope out the shows this summer. Looking for a kid-friendly horse, drop by the 4-H shows. This is a fabulous place to find horses because a lot of the 4-H's are headed off to college and will need someone to take on their mount. Looking for a specific breed, scope out the breed shows (look on the breed association websites for show times). 3. Check out with discipline and breed association websites for trainer listings. Check out the trainer websites or give them a ring. Its a great way to hook up with a trainer, too. 4. Newspaper. I'm not a huge fan of this one, but you may get lucky. As always, walk into any trial as a skeptic and try horses that intrigue you multiple times. Best of luck!
