What dog/dogs do you have?

I'm bored tonight and love animals so if you don't mind... What kind of dog/dogs do you have weather it be mixes or not How did you come to own your dog/dogs How old are they What is their name What is the trick that they do best if any Do they know any funny/uncommon tricks Do they have a favorite toy Do you have other animals as well Thanks for sharing Here are mine Smokie a 9yr old Husky/Aussie mix We just simply got her from someone in town who didn't get her dog fixed in time so she ended up with puppies Her best trick is jumping up and catching a frisbee No uncommon tricks really Her favorite toy is a pink and white stuffed bear, she has had it since she was a puppy Little Bit is a 7 yr old Shih Tzu poodle mix We were buying a truck from a friend and they had a puppy, he was they only one in the litter, he was just a cute little pudgy ball of fur, so Grandpa got the truck we got the dog His best trick and funniest trick is he dances, he twirls around in circles on his back legs His favorite toys is his stuffed cows Sandi is a 6 yr old Shih Tzu poodle mix We came across him when someone had to move, and really needed to find a place for this last puppy He was the smallest in the litter. His best trick is surrender, he throws up his paws really quick and stands there. He also dances just like our other one His fave toys are tennis balls they are almost like pacifires to him Shay is a 3yr old Chow/Corgi mix I found her wondering the streets at approximetly 7weeks old, I took her to the vet, got her checked out, and out and put up flyers and took an ad out in the paper but nobady claimed her, so I was more then happy to giver her a home, She fits in so well her best trick is shake she is pretty stubborn when it comes to learning tricks, she doesn't know any unusual/funny tricks Her favorite toy are the tug ropes Cheyenne is a 2 1/2 yr old Catahoula My friend told me She was going to go get a puppy from someone who needed to get rid of them within the week or they were all going to go to the shelter, :( there was 4 of them, so I went with her and we decided to take them all (the "owner' couldn't have cared less, but they were eight weeks old) and find loving, good homes for them. we each took two. She kept one and found a home for another one just 2 weeks later (we were willing to keep them as long as it took till they found good homes) I found a home for one just a little earlier then that but could not part with Cheyenne she is the sweetest smartest dog I've ever owned. The trick she knows best is... High five, or crawl maybe Some funny ones is dead, high five, she wacks you so hard with that paw! Her fave toy is a duck I'll be getting another dog soon, not sure on the name but I'm eager to bring her home. We also have a Snake Baby Rabbit Ashes 5 cows no names yet if at all 4 cats Kit Kat, Joelee, Lily, Sky Thanks everyone for sharing Sorry its's so long and for any errors in my typing

  4. What kind of dog/dogs do you have wether it be mixes or not: I have 2 jack russells - both female - Kiera and Abbey. We also have a black Labrador guide dog puppy named Patsie How did you come to own your dog/dogs: I bought Kiera a couple of years after my other dog was killed because I couldn't be without a dog. So I had Kiera and also a german shepherd at the time. When the german shepherd passed away from old age (god bless her) then Kiera was really lonely so I got Abbey 3 years ago to be a buddy for Kiera. How old are they Kiera is going to be 10 this year and Abbey will be 4. The guide dog pup is 10 months old. What is their name Kiera, Abbey and Patsie What is the trick that they do best if any: I haven't taught any of them tricks. Abbey taught herself to sit up and beg. Not sure where that came from, but she is pretty intelligent and I guess she tried it once and got a great reaction from me so now she does it all the time when she wants my attention. Do they know any funny/uncommon tricks Nope, they are trick free pooches so far. I am thinking of training Abbey some more with tricks and agility work. Do they have a favorite toy: Altogether they have about 40 soft toys that get changed around all the time. Kiera will play with anything, as will Patsie the lab but little Abbey loves soft toy Elmo, Homer Simpson and Shrek the best. Do you have other animals as well We have 2 cats that were dumped kittens and found a home with us.

Rose, my baby girl is a trained service and therapy dog and her favorite trick is shaking hands, but she will want you to switch hands and do it over and over! She is an awesome discer and about to be in competition and Axl is gonna start weight pulling at 18 months. Balla, one of my rescues, he is just happy he isn't a bait dog anymore. Love my pitties!
  8. I have a yellow Lab. Her name is Vallie and she's about 6 and a half years old now. I got her as a puppy from Canine Companions for Independence. I trained her for the program but she was dropped out because of bad hips so I decided to keep her after that. I call her Babyface and Sweetpea. Being a CCI dog she knows 40+ commands. She loves playing hide and go seek. When I say "Find me" she searches the whole house for me until she finds me. Lots of fun. Also, I've had to start spelling out dinner because she knows what that means and will get really excited. Her favorite toy is this ratty old stuffed animal toy with a clothe rope. It's falling apart but she loves it so much I can't throw it away. My second dog is Gerani. She's a Golden Retriever and she's 9 years old now. She too is a puppy I trained for Canine Companions for Independence and when she was dropped out for being too jumpy I kept her. She thinks she's a princess. Literally she won't get her feet wet, even when it rains. It's really funny. Her nicknames are Ronie and RonRon. She also knows Princess. Like Vallie she knows 40+ commands but her favorite to do is shake. Anytime she can give you her paw she does it. Her favorite toy is Vallie or other dogs to play with. I also have a kitten named Theo. He thinks he rules the roost.
  9. Leo is a 9 week old Border Collie/Terrier mix. I've been looking for a puppy for a long time and at last I found him on craigslist as a stray puppy that was rescued. His best trick he can do is sleep all day. He doesn't really have an uncommon trick that I know of. His favorite toy is an orange sheep. He loves that thing. He is my only pet at the moment but my family will probably get more in the future, but for now, Leo is all I need.
  10. I have a blue blood pit bull named Duke He just turned 4 months old He's still a puppy so only a couple tricks. He's really good at sitting and waiting till I snap to get his food His favorite toy is a blue cow that is made so it's limbs rip off lol *ban the deed not the breed*
  11. Artu (Italian for Arthur) is a 13-month-old purebred Volpino Italiano. There were only 3 breeders in North America, and none were having litters anytime soon, so I researched and found a few in Italy and chose one. My dog only knows basic commands, nothing special. His favorite toy is his stuffed AKC rabbit, he always has it in his mouth whenever he can. And no, I don't own any other pets but I'm interested in owning an Egyption Mau kitten one day.

  14. My dogs: Penny Lane- Toy Fox Terrier A friend of mine bought her on a whim one day from a backyard breeder. Thing is she didn't THINK first about the fact that she lives in an apartment complex that doesn't allow dogs. A few weeks later her landlord found out and said if she didn't get rid of the puppy, he'd evict her. So she asked me to take her, and I'm very glad I did :) She turned 2 on February 4 Her best tricks are probably dance, where she gets up on her hind legs and turns circles, sing, where she howls, and "Penny are you tired?" and she yawns (he just learned that one last week!) I haven't seen to many other dogs that can do the "yawn" one Penny loves all toys. She does not discriminate :) Sandy- Either Beagle or Foxhound mixed with either Lab or Pointer (or a mix of them all) I got her from one of those shelter adoption events they have in front of Petco when she was about 10 weeks old. The rescue people said she and her sister had been found roaming the streets together, staying alive by scavenging out of trash cans :( She'll be 10 on May 18 ( I estimated her birthday based on the date we got her and about hold old they said she was) Her best trick by far is "find it". I tell her to sit, and then I have her smell something, and then I tell her to stay and then I go hide it somewhere in the house. After I've hidden it, I tell her to find it and then she goes and sniffs it out. I got the idea to teach her to do this because of her hound heritage :) I think "find it" is a pretty uncommon trick :) Her favorite toy is whatever one Penny has at the moment lol :) I also have 2 cats: Tyger, an 8-year-old lynx point Siamese/Himalayan mix who is the most aloof, butt head of a cat I've ever seen (but I love him anyway ;) ) Oliver, a who-knows-how-old cat that I adopted after the neighbors moved out and just abandoned him. He has really pretty smokey grey long hair and is just the SWEETEST, almost needy cat I've ever seen. I swear he's almost dog like in personality.
