- no, they don't prohibit them. i live in southern california. you can have pitpull dogs.
- Those dogs should be bred solely for usage by law enforcement and the military. I can't conceive why a person would want one.
- I don't know why people banned Pit Bulls. They banned them just because ONE dog attacked someone, and none others. If you properly socialize them when they are young, they can make loving pets. Someone I know has one, since she got it BEFORE that law was made. Anyways, no, they are not prohibited in Lancaster CA.
- No, but they are putting a spay/neuter on every pit bull and rottie in the city. That includes all mixes of either one of the dogs. I don't know if they have started this law or it is still trying to get into effect. Reason being? Mayor and city council want to eliminate gang activity....
- Unfortunately the are NOT banned in the Antelope Valley. I was fortunate enough to move out of that horrible place and out of stinkin' California Why would you want such a thing. I've seen them take down a horse, kill dogs and cats, and the worse thing, there was an article in the Antelope Valley Press, a few years ago, about a PB who took off it's owner's arms (both of them). Of course your dad knows that he'll have a hard time getting home owner's insurance if you own such a breed.
