- Google it..
- look up rescues that specifically cater to greyhounds.
- Look on www.petfinder.com They may have a rescue group for greyhounds in your area!
- Greyhound rescue groups: http://www.greyrescue.com/ http://www.adopt-a-greyhound.org/ http://www.greyhoundrescue.org/ http://www.azgreyhoundrescue.org/ http://www.ngap.org/ http://www.greyhoundrescuene.org/ http://www.greyhoundrescuerehab.org/ http://www.greyhoundsunlimited.org/
- look for greyhound rescues in your area
- Check out greyhound rescues. There are a lot of them but many are localized in a state or a clump of states. Google a rescue in your area.
- Depending on where you live, there should be a chapter of Greyhound Pets of America (GPA), or a smaller rescue organization, such as Heart of Texas Greyhounds.
- More like, "Where cant you find a greyhound to adopt?"
- Hi check out this link http://www.animalrescuers.co.uk/htlm/greyhounds.htlm sorry link is not working.I typed resue centers for grey hounds in search. Good luck
- Try looking on the internet....you know type in something like GREYHOUND RESCUE, in that thing on your computer called a browser. Then you can narrow it even further by state. Greyhound rescue is very strict (at least here in CA) they insist someone be home all the time with the dog, and a doggie door (which if you are home all the time why?), and a lot of other rules. I guarantee you could get a child easier then the greyhound rescue in california.
- We adopted our greyhound from PetSmart when they were there once a month. If you google greyhound rescue you can find one in your area. They are great dogs. She was one of the sweetest dogs that I ever had.
- www.adopt-a-greyhound.org The link works. You just have to type it in instead of copying and pasting. It will take you to a Yahoo menu and click on the second listing.
- Look up Greyhound rescue near your city or state. They have some great ones ready for adoption.
- Most of these answers people are giving are correct. Search for "greyhound adoption" and find a group near you. Each group has their own adoption procedures. Most reputable groups only adopt locally because they are there to support you and want to be within a reasonable driving distance. If the dog ever gets loose, notify the group you got him from and they will go into search and rescue mode. Most groups support each other. We had a few lost greys around here recently and there were at least 5 different adoption groups helping to find them. They want to help and be a resource for you for the life of your dog so search away and give a retired racer that forever home!
