How can i persuade my mum to get a retired greyhound ?

I have always wanted a dog and after doing some research i said i wanted a retired racing Greyhound i was going to talk to her about it more after my cat died R.I.P what shall i say and do ?

1. It is VERY difficult to convince someone who does not want an animal that it is a good idea to get one. However, there are MANY sites for greyhounds for adoption. http://www.ngap.org/ ^^ This is a place in Philidelphia, Pennsylvania. I believe this is where my neighbors received their 2 retired greyhounds from. I believe they will even deliver the dog to your house. There are more sites around and places in other states. Benefits of retired greyhounds: -They are MUCH calmer than most dogs. -Come already trained and very well behaved -Retire at a young age (1-2 years old) so they will not be old dogs when you get one -Usually walk VERY well on a leash because of racing - Very nice dogs in general... Perfect for someone who doesn't have the time and/or patience for a young misbehaved dog. Goodluck.
