How do you call this type of cross breeding?

I have in mind the cross breeding type when the dairy or beef cattle cows are breeded with the bulls of other superior breed. For example you take an ordinary cow and breed it with a limousine bull in order to get cross breed cattle that is of better quality. No, it's not cloning. In my language it would be "smother cross breeding" meaning that the unwanted genes do not play any role already in 4th generation.
