Will a new English Bulldog puppy and our 2 year old cat get along?

My wife and I have a 2 year old cat and we are planning on getting a new English Bulldog puppy. Will the animals get along? Is there anything we should be concerned about?

1. They might not get along right away. But give it time and soon they will learn to live with each other. I have a Yellow Lab, 4 years old, and a cat. At first they were shy and scared of each other, then after a month or so they even slept in the same room together.
2. im guessing no. But if they do it will take time. Your bulldog and cat might attempt to "kill each other". Just let them be or they will never learn to get along.
