What are some good combinations of different animals?

I'm planning to make an animal with different body parts. I need six different body parts from six different animals. For example: giraffe's body, with butterfly wings, with bunny ears, with lion's feet, dogs tail, pig nose. (i know that would look really ugly put together thats why i need your help) Thanks something with a penguin's body would be preferable.

  1. Zebra body, giraffe's neck, horse's head, bird's tail, lion's feet, butterfly wings?
  2. Kangaroo head, shark teeth, dolphin body, sloth feet, bird wings, aardvark tail.
  3. If the reason you need help is so that the creature doesn't look "ugly", I suggest editing together body parts of animals that are similar in some way, for example, in the same animal family or similar in proportion. If you want to start with a penguins torso, you could add the talons of say, an eagle (both birds) or the flippers of a platypus (both penguins and platypus' have flippers). You could add a fish's fin (both creatures swim) or perhaps the wings of an albatross. The ears of this creature may belong to a bat and it's beak to a puffin or pelican. If you wanted to get a bit creative, you could place the eyes of a fish (for example, a trout or a catfish) on either side of the face or perhaps rather than giving the penguin's torso wings, you could give it little arms and claws such as those of a cat (preferably Siamese as the skin texture is more similar than the furry consistency of some more common breeds). Additionally, if you have a bit of time on your hands and want to make the overall look of the creature more consistent, I suggest rendering the final image with a chosen texture or pattern, for example, and elephant's or leopards skin. You can find such textures using a search engine such as Google Images (search for "animal textures" or simply the creature of your choosing, e.g. "elephant") and do the rendering with a program such as Adobe Photoshop. For some inspiration, use an engine to search for terms such as "composite animals" and "composite creatures" to see how others have approached such a task previously.
