  1. Cheap dogs from breeders always mean big vet bills in the future. http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=13314938 http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=13295942 http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=13204734 http://www.sbgrc.org/puppy.html http://www.crvgrc.org/index.asp?ID=20
  2. Hi, There are a lot of shelters in CT where you may find the dog you want. Here's the site: http://dogtime.com/shelters/US-CT
  3. shelter or rescue www.petfinder.com
  4. Depends on your view of "cheap." The only place to get cheap dogs is the local shelter or a breed rescue. If you want quality and the assurance of genetic health, however, then buy from a reputable breeder (IE does genetic testing, shows their dogs, etc.) http://www.ygrr.org/ http://www.absolutelygolden.com/rescue.htm http://www.akc.org/classified/index.cfm Please remember that dogs are not "cheap." Supplies and first vet check alone can be upwards around $400. Monthly fees can be around $200. Emergencies can soar over $1,000. If you don't have a steady income OR any money saved up, the don't get a dog.
  5. adopt one from a shelter. i know in the UK breeders of golden retrievers can charge upto £800 for one
  6. Well, I don't live in Connecticut, but pretty much anywhere, a full blooded Golden Retriever will cost in the high hundreds. Unless they are unhealthy, then you just end up paying more in the long run. You really should consider adopting from a shelter.
  7. you get what you pay for. check your local shelter, the Golden Retriever Club of American, or one of the many Golden Retriever rescues.
  8. You get what you pay for.. Contact rescue and save a life if you have no money to spend on a quality dog. Ooopps I guess if you can't afford to buy a dog, you can't afford all the food, grooming, health care, and everything else a dog needs..
