How to lock my PC keyboard?

Very often when I'm watching a movie on my PC my cats start wandering on my keyboard, pressing random keys, pausing my player or messing up the settings. I was wondering if there's any way to lock the keyboard for the time I'm watching something. Like a programme that allows a special combination of keys to lock it or something. Thanks.

  1. Try Kid_Key_lock http://lifehacker.com/5157037/kid+key+lock-locks-your-keyboard-and-mouse-in-degrees
  2. No, you just have to keep your cat off your keyboard or cover it with something hard that the cat can't sink into with its feet.
  3. Kid Key lock works, as the previous poster said... but also unplugging is a good idea too.
  4. toddler keys is free and locks the keyboard - think of your cat as an intelligent toddler http://www.snapfiles.com/get/toddlerkeys.html
  5. DON'T unplug your keyboard if it's a older PS/2 style plug (round). You can damage the motherboard and lock up your machine. If it's a USB type (flat rectangle plug) you can safely unplug it. Other then that as mentioned above there are a couple free programs that will do what you want.
