What kind of things make maine coon cats happy?

1. the same thing that makes other cats happy. Love and attention, treats, toys, and something to climb (a nice cat tree). Not to mention a nice soft bed. Some cats like grooming, some don't, but better to start them sooner rather than wait till their fur mats up and you need to take it to a professional groomer to have it taken care of.
2. Attention, attention, and more attention. They are very curious and love to play. If they get bored they will find trouble to get into. Mine was like a puppy he followed me all around the house and was VERY, VERY clingy. He didn't like to be left home alone, even while I was at work. And it didn't matter what I was doing he wanted to "help". He was more like a 2 year old child than a cat! Lots of love, affection, attention, and TOYS!!! Enjoy.
3. My Maine's favorite toy is the milk rings after I open a bottle of milk, he likes to play fetch with them. He also loves his scratching post, kitty condo, he has a couple of squeaky dog toys, the little balls with bells in them, anything in a plastic bag and of course EVERYTHING he's not supposed to touch. He also sits on command, begs for treats, lies down when told, goes out on a leash & we are working on PAW. He's more dog than cat, but he's loads of fun & very smart
4. my maine is more of a dog than a cat he comes when called, begs on his hind legs for treats, likes to go for rides in the car,meets me at the front door when I come home, likes to have all of my attention, dosen't like to play with toys, loves to sleep on my head.
