How can I convince my boyfriend that cats are okay?

My new boyfriend told me that people who own more than two cats are crazy. I don't want him to think I'm crazy, so whenever he comes over, I sedate the other five cats and put them in a box. How often can I do this without harming them? And how can I prove to my boyfriend that people who own more than two cats are not crazy? Yes, he is worth it. He's very, very cute. And it's not often that someone like him is interested in someone like me.

1. leave your cats be. they are your family. he should understand that they are your cats and that is that. he doesnt have to like cats but at least respect their space in your home and life.
2. o_O Firstly, I think that sedating the cats and stuffing them into a box like put-away toys is a horrible way to treat your kitties. Secondly, your boyfriend should come to the fact that your a cat-lover, and should respect that. If he can't, then I think he's just a jerk.
3. Oh my goodness. Please tell me you are joking? It's never safe to sedate a cat. And your reason for doing so is horrible. How can this man prove to you that owning more than 2 cats are crazy? IF you like this guy and IF you decide you'd like to try to date him... you need to come clean. End of story. Explain to him that you own more than 2 cats, he may get embarassed that he downed it so badly... and he may think you crazy and want to call the whole thing off. Your other option is to get rid of 3 of your cats. You'll have to make a decision if this man, and his dislike of too many cats, is worth having around enough to make you get rid of 3 of them. You are harming those 3 more by sedating him, enough that you should chose between them and the guy. Do it very soon before you accidentally kill one of them..or all three of them.
4. So you have 7 cats right. And you drug them so the boyfriend does not find out. What if he said people who have more than one kid are crazy.Would you drug a child and stuff them in a box as well. I think 7 cats is a little much, but it is your house and your life. You need to tell him how many you have and see whats happens.He may think 7 is crazy.. I am an animal lover but that many cats wow but drugging the poor animals is just wrong. Please stop or re home the cats. They are sensitive to drugs and could have an adverse reaction on day to it. Is the new boyfriend worth it???? edit...what are you gonna do when he finds out you have like 7 cats.. and that you lied to him about it. have you done this type of thing before. maybe if you were more honest about the cats.. i dunno. just worried about the cats health and all.
5. omg thats messed up. if you are serious there is something seriously wrong with you. thats animal abuse. if you keep doing that your cats should be taken away from you. sounds like an unhealthy relationship too. dont hurt your cats because your boyfriend is an a$$. if he loves you he wont judge btw you ARE crazy for drugging your cats because your boyfriend doesnt approve
6. Stop sedating your cats, it's very dangerous. Oh and dump the cat hater.
7. Prove to him, Cats are like so cute !! he should understand yours feeling... Sedate the cats, are as bad as throwing them away... I can see he is worth it, but he need to give you. Your own space ! Hope it helps...

You shouldn't be sedating your cats -- that is very dangerous, and if you care that much what your cat hater boyfriend thinks, maybe you need to get all your cats to a no kill shelter where they can be adopted by people who love them and don't care what fly by nights think!
