How many animals are you allowed to keep in your house?

I live under a guy who puts on a circus streetshow with trained cats. He's driving me fkn crazy with a herd of 8 hyperactive cats.Is there a restriction to how many animals you can legally have in a rental apartment , or is that an agreement between him and the landlord?

  1. There is usually a limit on how many pets a renter can have. You might want to check with your landlord. As him/her if they know that your neighbor has 8 cats, and if they say YES...explain why it bothers you.
  2. well, it depends on the landlord and where you live. i know some counties have a limit to how many animals you can have.
  3. I'm only allowed to have one in my apartment, but I have two anyway. I had five when I lived with my mom in a big house, but three of them were indoor/outdoor cats.
  4. you cannot keep more than one giraffe
  5. have you tried to talk to the neighbor. Im thinking it was a bad idea to put that many cats in an apartment so its not your fault and you have the right to complain to the landlord until you are happy!
  6. only allowed one by my mom but luckily she gave birth to 3 so now i have 4 wheeee
  7. There is always a town or city limit. Most often urban areas esepcially rentals will have a low to NO animal limit. For example I lived close to Boston where we were only allowed 1 cat and when we moved further into the suburbs we now are allowed 3. Please check with you local town office and the lanlord or leasing agency. Please remember that having pets is great but having more in a small space can not only lead to annoyences but also health issues. Do your homework before you approach your landlord or the tenant!
  8. It depends on the city you live in. A lot of cities have a limit on how many pets you can own unless you have a breeder or kennel license. You should look up the animal control website for your area and check. You can also call them and make a complaint anonymously about how many cats he has and they will come check it out. He may be licensed to have more than the normal because of what he does but if not they will give him a warning.
  9. First, it depends where you live but most places only alow 4 pets.
  10. You shold ckeck with your landlord because if you own a house that is officially your property, that you can have as many as you want. I live in a house that is our property And i have 1 dog, 2 cats, 27 fish in an aquarium, and 9 birds that run around my house all day!!! Good Luck!!!
