why doesnt the "fix red eye" thing work on pictures of cats?

  1. i think because their 'red eyes' (even though they're usually fluro yellow or blue ro something) are way too bright. i've got some pictures where they're glowingly bright that it goes passed just their eyeballs.
  2. Because they glow green instead of red.
  3. because the anima;'s eye's are way different from humans, its like when i try to get rid of the yellow in my dogs eye's with the flash of my camera it wont do it because their eye sight is different from a humans!
  4. when the eyes of a person turn red in a photo this is caused by the inability of the pupil to shrink quickly enough to block out the light and so a reflection of the inside of the eye (which is red or pink) shows through in the picture. this is usually not the case for animals due to the different eye structure. most of the time, animal eyes just tend to be more reflective to that of a human and so the red eye effect usually gives off either a red, green, yellow, or plain white reflection depending on the light conditions. when the camera flash has been set to reduce red eye it first gives off a slower flash of light so the eye can adjust and then the same flash is used but for a shorter time as the photo is taken.
