Cross Breeds

What are some wild animals that live in the New York state area or around the border like near Connecticut?

I am writing a story that takes place out near the border of New York--specifically the Western border--and i already searched around the internet and i couldn't find anything about the types of wild animals that live in the greener area of New York. Does anyone know of some?

2. i grew up in upstate ny...the animals i've seen quite often are:: deer, turkeys, coyotes, and alot of small game (rabbits, squirrels, raccoons, etc)... a couple times i've seen black bear, moose, and bobcats especially around the adirondacks but these animals arent as common
