Is it true that Asians eat dogs and Mexicans eat cats?

Just curious. Not trying to be mean or anything.

2. hi there, i am an asian living in malaysia. i do know that some community does eat dog. if you want to know more, i guess thais eat lots of exotic foods. :P
3. I heard some Hispanics eat Guinea pigs, they look yummy. No seriously, some Asian communities have been known to eat dogs but they are small, isolated, rural communities much in the same as when you think of isolated red neck Appalachians that practiced incest and such. For instance, as a Chinese, even my parents had never known about eating dogs when they were growing up in China. It wasn't until the internet postings and hype that most of us knew, much the same way as everyone else. So it is offensive and yes racist when people start making blanket statements that Asians (as in all Asians) eat dogs. That's like saying just because a handful of rural white communities in America praticed incest, then are white people incestuous?
4. Not sure of mexicans but some asians, small in population do eat dogs and other exotic meats. 6. Korean government even said that those dogs that they eat are not "pet" dogs. For chinese, dogs are not the common food among chinese, and mostly only consumed by some of the village people. They eat it mostly in winter once or twice in a year, becaue they believe that dog meat can give warmth to human body. I am a chinese, i HATE people torturing my best friends. In fact, i treat my dogs as if they were my own children.
7. You almost have it backwards. In Mexico, there are many jokes about dogs who are dumb enough to hang around the taquerias (taco stands), but I never found out if they were really being serious about that. I never heard anything about eating cats in Mexico, though I noticed that they don't seem to prefer cats to dogs and that I didn't see very many cats there at all. Now, in the south of China, I heard that they do eat cats, and dogs as well. People in the north of China generally don't go for that thing and point to the southerners as the ones who do that.
