What sources are available for thoroughbred horse racing performance statistics?

The statistics would include, but not be limited to past performance, pedigree, track name & track conditions, gate position, odds at post time, etc. There are many stats available, but they are in PDF format and must be purchased. I am looking for data in a table or tabular form and preferably free of charge. Tab delimited or comma separated formats are ideal. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
