  1. isn't a miniature horse a pony? i don't think miniature horses exist
  2. I DONT KNOW. THEY KINDA LOOK THE SAME TO ME......GOOGLE IT OR SUMTHIN
  3. yes there is a difference. a miniature horse is NOT a pony. there are no "mini ponies" ponies are just ponies.. period. a miniature horse has the conformation and all the traits of a standard horse... just not the height. a pony is short in height, but also structurally different from a horse. ponies have thicker bones, shorter, thicker necks and heads, more compact short frames, and a heavier build. here are a few links that explain the differences http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/2062 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ponies
  4. really there are many rules often overlapping with each other... http://www.gomestic.com/Pets/Unusual-Pets-Miniature-Horses.75405 PONIES are any horse under 14.2 hands MINIATURE HORSES fall into PONY size, but have a seperate classification... as they are supposed to look like miniature horses instead of having some of the ponyish looks found in ponies.. http://www.picable.com/Nature/Horses/Miniature-Horse--Bullwinkle.94711 this guy is technically a miniature horse but at 11 hands he would also be able to enter "PONY" classes in shows.. some minies are really tiny - 28 inches sometimes its sad because they are stunted from poor nutrition or poor breeding - many mares have difficulty having foals
  5. There is no such thing as a minature pony. You may be thinking of shetlands and they are full sized completely normal ponies. Minature horses are not ponies they are just a scaled down version of a horse
