what's the difference between ponies and miniature horses?

Public Comments

  1. Miniature horse is really tiny, not over 40cm. While a pony is bigger then that.
  2. thats like asking whats the difference between a little kid and a midget
  3. i gotta agree with Hen HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA ROFLMAO!!!!
  4. I think it also has to do with breeds.
  5. Ponys are baby horses. Mimi horses never grow too big. About half the size of a regular hourse.
  6. Ponies are NOT baby horses, geez. A 'pony' is any horse that-when full grown-is less than 14.2 hands high. A hand in horse terms is equal to four inches. A Miniature Horse is a breed, just like Quarter Horse and Thoroughbred. It is part of the breed standard that they be under 34 inches or 38 inches, depending on which registry you listen to.
