how much do miniature horses eat?

How many flakes of hay should I feed my miniature horse a day? She is 32 inches, and a pretty easy keeper. She is around nineteen years old.

3. Every horse is different. If she stays at a healthy weight on one flake a day, keep her at that. If she requires two, sobeit. Many horses are fine on free-choice hay/grass and no grain, but sometimes mini's can overeat. So if she gets too fat, cut back. You don't want her to get overweight and founder.
