Can miniature horses be trained not to crap in the house?
I'm thinking of getting couple of them cute miniature horses, but I don't want them to be taking a crap in my house. Can they be "house trained"?

- you can't keep horses in the house- thats not fair to them unless you are going to let them out in a field for most of the day!! Please think about them and get a cat or dog instead!
- well I think the question should really be, should miniature horses really be house pets. However, to answer your question, yes, they have a keen sense of memory, and although it might take a while, you should reward them every time they defecate outside so that they associate that with a positive response.
- HOrses are not indoor pets. Whether they are miniature or no should be kept in a barn or on a ranch where they can be properly cared for.
- You can't be serious... a COUPLE "cute miniature horses"? They won't all fit in your house! I don't think they can be housetrained either. Can you train a horse to poop in the feild but not in the stable? No... So why would you be able to train a mini horse to poop outside not inside?
- Yes they can. However, you need to be aware of food costs, vet bills etc. Finding suitable feed for horses is harder than buying dog or cat food off the shelf. I would recommend looking into it further before you make any decision.
