  1. It's a sign of dominance.
  2. This behavior is typically to show dominance.
  3. They are trying to show their dominance. Could be issues if not corrected soon
  4. tell him no it could hert the other dog
  5. shes basically being "higher" it means that she is saying that she is bigger, so she is over the other dog, and she will display this in many ways, such as being first to eat, always being above the other dog, being first to walk thru doors, and many other signs. the dachshund will do things to show that she is the sumbissed dog, by rolling on her back, showing her stomach, being "lower" than the bigger dog, and always following instead of leading. if there is a problem here, which often occurs, then the dachshund will not accept his/her place, and will try to be higher, but will eventually learn that she is no bigger or higher than the pit. this pitbull is obviously the DOMINANT DOG here. its body language. theres many many more things that they do, and its very similar to human body language. its also easy to get used to what theyre saying, as long as u pay attention.
  6. YOUR PIT BULL IS PROBABLY THE MOST DOMINANT ONE OF THE GANG THATS ALL BUT YOUR STILL THE PACK LEADER
  7. Its A Sign Of Showing Dominance..Your Dog Wants Or Is The Alpha Dog In Your Home...Lead Only By You Or Your Family..This Is Not An Unusual Thing..Usually Dogs Lick Or Roll Over On Their Back To Show That Their Of A Lower Stature In The Pack..Also The Breed Pit Bulls Love To Sit On Things...She Prob. Even Sits On You If Your on The Floor With Her...Hope This Helps
  8. I have 9 dogs. 3 are Dachshunds (aka weenie dogs) and I have a 4 month old Pit that thinks she is a Dachshund. She sits on my Doxies all the time. And it is not about dominance with her it's just they are there and she just sits. If your Doxie doesn't have a problem with it I wouldn't worry. If my Doxies get upset about it, they make her get off. Dachshunds are normally very Alpha dogs. And my Pit, Launi, is playful and loving but will submit to my other dogs in a heartbeat. Pits are great.
  9. Dominance.. Plain in simple its asserting its role in the pack.
